8F overhead fibre optic cable, G652D, 5.2 mm. Extralink Aerial Cable is a fiber optic cable designed for use on short distances in overhead installations. For its construction 8 G.652D fibers were used, which are placed in the central tube. The reinforcement element, in addition to the circumferential strength elements, are two FRP rods made of aramid yarn embedded in the outer sheath, which provide the required tensile strength of the cable. The HDPE outer sheath on the core protects the cable from the external environment.
