The EX series is one of the two product lines of switches, next to the QFX series, made by Juniper.

The Juniper EX Series currently has 9 different lines of switches. Each device is available in several configurations which differ in number, type of ports and size. Series available for sale are:  EX2200, EX2500, EX3200, EX3300, EX4200, EX4500, EX6200, EX8200 and EX9200.

EX2200 is the most cost-effective group of switches designed to be used in the least demanding circumstances. This kind of switch can be equipped with 24 or 48 ports (12 ports in the EX2200-C version).  This device is quiet, compact (1RU) and consumes very little energy. It is designed to be used in open office spaces and small server rooms.

The 8200 and 9200 series are characterised by the best parameters. They are designed for professional and demanding application of switches, used for cloud services, virtual servers, data centres and large networks.

The largest currently available model is EX9214 with a height of 16RU and 14 slots.
