Intel is an American company, specialised in manufacturing processors and integrated circuits. It also produces motherboards, chipsets, integrated graphics and microcontrollers. Its name comes from "Integrated Electronics".
Inventions, which made Intel one of the biggest, global producers were transistors and integrated circuits. The ability to design advanced processors and high manufacturing capability made a company, barely known among specialists, to gain international renown. This was also influenced by the „Intel Inside” campaign, held during the 90s.
Their first processor was the i4004, presented in 1971. Thanks to an innovative approach and non-standard thinking, they outperformed the competition by several years. Further investments in new microprocessors and the development of PC’s brought them popularity, which they hold until this day.
The company offer includes amongst others, SSD disks and processors. Among the former we can distinguish the series SSD DC S3700, SSD Pro 2500 or SSD 730. The models are characterised by high reliability in comparison to competitive products and guarantee a purchase with the best quality to price ratio. The latter include Xeon® Processor E7 v2 Family, Xeon® Processor 5000 Sequence, Xeon Phi™ Coprocessors, Itanium® Processor, Atom™ Processor for Server and Atom™ Processor for Storage. Each is very efficient, which boosts the usability of the newest technologies.
The company was established in 1968 by Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce. Together they brought it to the peak of the computing industry. The head office is in Santa Clara, California. Currently, most models are being manufactured in Chandler, Arizona. Its main mission is innovation, therefore it has an extensive research network in several areas of the world, which contributes to connecting many, cultural observations and creating modern solutions.
